Makhachev has apparently responded to Chandler’s criticism on Twitter on Monday
Chandler tweeted criticism that “He hasn’t really fought anybody, That’s really the truth.”
Chandler said that it is true that Makhachev will fight Charles Oliveira for the Vacant lightweight title at UFC 280.But this is only made possible by a TKO victory over unranked Bobby Green.
Earlier Makhachev had registered his biggest win against Dan Hooker, who had lost four times in his last 5 matches including Makhachev.
Although Makhachev has won 10 battles in a row since September 2016 and is all set for next month’s Vacant lightweight title match in Abu Dhabi
Now after criticizing Chandler, Makhachev has responded to him too
Makhachev tweeted, “Haha., your only two wins [sic] in UFC is Hooker who came out of loss, and Tony who has 5 losses in the row now.,”
Makhachev further wrote that “please shut up and stay in line, with emoji”
If Makhachev wins the UFC lightweight title at UFC 280 and Chandler defeats Dustin Poirier at UFC 281 in November, a title match between these two men could set up.
