Red One at Prime Video, a Dwayne Johnson and Jake Kasdan collaboration, is presently in production, and J.K. Bonnie Hunt, a nominee for an Emmy, and Oscar winner Simmons have joined the cast as Santa and Mrs. Claus, respectively.

The cast of the four-quadrant holiday family film includes Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, Kristofer Hivju, Nick Kroll, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, and Wesley Kimmel. It aspires to become a major franchise with merch available across the Amazon universe.

The screenplay was written by Fast & Furious writer and producer Chris Morgan and was based on an original story by Seven Bucks President of Production Hiram Garcia. Amazon Studios prevailed in a competitive auction for the property. More than 240 nations and territories can watch.

Morgan is a producer through Chris Morgan Productions, Hiram Garcia, Johnson, and Dany Garcia are producers through Seven Bucks Productions, and Kasdan and Melvin Mar are producers through The Detective Agency.

EP is a Chris Morgan Productions project with Barry Waldman and Ainsley Davies. Co-producing with The Detective Agency is Sky Salem Robinson.

The combined box office for Kasdan, Johnson, and Seven Bucks Productions’ Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level was $1.7 billion. Additionally, Morgan has frequently collaborated with Seven Bucks Productions on a number of movies, including Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw, Fast & Furious Presents: Furious 7, Fast & Furious 6, and Fast Five.
